Time for a Break!

ermingardenFinished up my torts exam today, and with it my first semester of law school! Hooray!
I went out for a walk before the exam, and the park was a winter wonderland - snow everywhere, and little kids were sledding, and slightly older kids were building snowmen. I've never actually lived anywhere it snowed before, so it was a strange experience to go out and see what for me is so out of the ordinary and then go back inside and do something as prosaic as taking an exam. I suppose I'd better get used to it!

We mostly don't have a lot, and I've epxerienced not too many winters with longer periods of deeps now or severe frost or so, but everybody had a sled when we were kids, and today it's normal to have to scrape your windshield free in the morning and such. ^^
Enjoy the experience! It must be special to have it for the first time. ♥

Date: 2020-12-20 02:33 am (UTC)I should maybe clarify that this is far from the first time I've experienced snow - we went up to the Sierra Nevada at least once every winter when I was a kid, and I've been sledding and skiing loads of times. What's new is having snow when I'm not focused on snow, if that makes sense; I mean having snow as the backdrop to everyday life.
I am really enjoying it, though! I spent all day today just walking around the city, went up to Central Park - it's a winter wonderland!
