I also want to highlight a couple of other great fics from the exchange:

a whole galaxy of light is a really sweet fic featuring Depa, Caleb, and Mace. Lineage as family! Jedi culture! What more can I say?

dog days features some great interaction between Mara and Luke at the Praxeum, with a glimpse into Mara's past.

moment's silence is a poignant little Beru/Owen/Obi-Wan fic, with stellar characterizations for all three.

Finally, it's appropriate that it was today that I saw the prompts for Jedi June 2021 - I am so excited!!! I wasn't able to post anything for last year's fest, but I'm going to start work for this one as soon as my exams are over.

Absolutely! It's hilarious to me how similar the fics are in some ways, though I'm almost 100% sure they weren't written by the same author: Not only are they for the same one of my requests, they're both canon divergence fics focused on the power of music (though in very different ways), and they're even both tagged "Crack Treated Seriously." I'm like, authors, are you mind readers? How did you come up with fics so perfectly suited to what I like, far beyond what I mentioned in my letter?

If you really want to know.... When I get my assignment, I try to research my recipient a bit - I read their creator letter, and browse any public social media listed on their A03 profile as well a sampling of their fics to get a feel for their personality before I draft anything. You wrote a fic about Kam and Luke playing dreidel for high stakes, which meant that our senses of humor and whimsy were perfectly aligned and I could just go with it.

(I also brainstormed several Very Serious Character studies, but somehow it was the crack that actually made it from idea to actuality.)

Well, you figured out my taste in fic to a disconcertingly accurate degree! And I am delighted that these were the ideas that made it onto the page - I see the tag "Crack Treated Seriously" and I'm like a dog hearing somebody open the treat bag.
