Bio

Master Irrinath is the Jedi Order's preeminent expert in psychic shielding. Initially trained more in diplomacy and philosophy than in combat, Irrinath might have followed in the footsteps of her master, the renowned Jedi archaeologist Yuon Par, if war against the Sith Empire had not set her on a different path; instead, she has spent much of her adult life on battlefields across the galaxy. She was appointed to the Jedi Council following the Battle of Corellia.

The Jedi Order has been Irrinath's home since she was four years old, and she strives to live out the Jedi ethos of service at all times. In whatever situation she finds herself, she believes the Force led her there so she could help.

Trivia

Irrinath's facial tattoos are a traditional Zabrak design meaning "reaching upward into light." The scar on her face came from a fight with a former Jedi who had fallen under the control of a malevolent Sith spirit. She could have avoided the injury by killing him, but she chose not to, and she was ultimately able to save him. She refused treatments to make it less noticeable; like many Zabraks, she chose her tattoos to represent the kind of person she wants to be, and she considers the scar an addition to her tattoos – a reminder of the importance of compassion.

Irrinath's right hand is a prosthetic; she lost the original in the Battle of Corellia.

In her limited spare time, Irrinath is writing a commentary on the First and Third Precepts of the Jedi Code. Her favorite food is fried crickets.

Bio

Raised in a large, close-knit Nautolan family on Deralia, Ruta enlisted in the Republic Army as soon as she came of age. After two years in the infantry, Ruta's courage and skill drew the attention of her superiors when she played a pivotal role in defending a vital supply convoy from Mandalorian raiders; her actions earned her both a medal and a place in Special Forces training, where she swiftly excelled.

Ruta is fiercely loyal to the ideals of the Republic. Work in SpecForce is often grim, but there are some lines she will never cross: Victory over the Empire would be meaningless if the Republic became just as despotic in the process.

Trivia

Like all Nautolans, Ruta is as comfortable underwater as on land, and her favorite off-duty pastime is swimming. She is also an enthusiastic dejarik player.
